ABOUT US

STLI is a non-profit, international development and humanitarian organization, incorporated in 1989 in California. In 1993, the Kyrgyz government invited STLI to bring volunteer professionals to teach in the universities. Other programs quickly evolved and grew, with support from World Bank, USAID and others. In 2016, we registered an office in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to aid with the government’s family medicine training and serve in the UNHCR refugee/IDP camps.

The vision of Scientific Technology & Language Institute (STLI) is to develop people to develop themselves, their families, communities and country.

Our strategy is to advise and embolden our local counterparts to analyze problems, identify available resources, and gain skills to motivate and lead others.

Our goal is to see our partners effectively engage their leaders and peers with confidence and hope to overcome for betterment.
