Building Bridges
Since 1993, Scientific Technology and Language Institute (STLI) has been working to bring hope and build friendships with people living in the former Soviet Union.
STLI is a personal, quiet effort by volunteer professionals from 12 countries of the world, who live and work in the Kyrgyz Republic at the invitation of the people and government ministries, helping rebuild the country. Their work is urgently needed. The legacy of the Soviet Union and its breakup have left struggling countries in economic and social distress, and the friendly people of Central Asia in great personal trouble.

STLI is in the business empowering people and nations to find hope for the future. Because the most important resource of a country is its people, our volunteers focus on training Central Asian professionals, making a long-term commitment to address the needs of local communities. Our success will be measured by the vision and work of those we have trained and empowered to complete the task of nation building.
